Whenever Twitter is down
…I start stressing out that I’m missing lots of things. Specifically, tweets. Which makes no sense because it’s down for everyone but that doesn’t stop me from thinking OH MY GOD EVERYONE ELSE IS TWEETING AND I CANNOT ACCESS THESE TWEETS ALAS EARWAX etc.
Despite the fact that I’m not a Louise Mensch fan in the slightest, I think this is really really really unacceptable. If by really unacceptable we mean fury-making. There are many legitimate reasons to be pissed with her but this is not by any means an okay way to express those political feelings or justify them.

Whoa. The MLA has officially devised a standard format to cite tweets in an academic paper. Sign of the times.
