Cyclist Lizzie Armitstead has described winning a silver medal, Britain’s first in the London Olympics, as the best day of her life.

She wasso goodand cycled right past me and aaaaaah, she is wonderful.

I’m really hoping those people who didn’t have a favourite female athlete in the Ladies Survey have one now :) the women are doing magnificently.
